Safe House is an action thriller directed by Daniel Espinosa, starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington. The film has Denzel Washington as an ex-CIA agent turned criminal called Tobin Frost who, for his own protection, is put into a safe house which is run by Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds). Frost has secret files relating to peace keeping agents around the world so is being pursued by mercenaries who want access to the files. The CIA are also very keen to have these files back so need to keep him safe.
The film was released in America on Friday 10th February which gives us the advantage of at least gauging the reaction of the critics over there. Early indications seem to lead towards good performances by the main actors but a poor script and editing which is a shame. The trailer certainly shows some promise within the film but its obvious that this is a film filled with action and little talk.
