Film Preview: The Last Fall

I saw an article regarding 'The Last Fall' which instantly intrigued me as an NFL fan. The movie follows an NFL player who is about to retire but is far from the world famous millionaire players that are often depicted in the movies. Lance Gross plays the journeyman player struggling to deal with life after the game as he is cut by his fourth team in three years. Nicole Beharie plays his old high school sweetheart who he meets on his return to his hometown. It's good to see a sports film looking at an aspect of the game that is quite often forgotten. Every summer hundreds of NFL players turn up at training camps hoping to earn a spot on an NFL roster for the season, most cases see players return year on year without success until they finally can't afford to do it anymore and have to get a normal job. Lets hope this film delivers and more importantly gets screened in the UK!
